D497, developed by Y&X Beijing Technology Co., Ltd., is a specialized depressant designed to inhibit clay minerals such as montmorillonite and kaolinite in flotation systems. It performs effectively in weakly acidic to neutral, low-alkali slurry environments, significantly improving flotation selectivity and tailings settling.
Clay Mineral Suppression
Strongly inhibits fine clay particles that interfere with flotation and concentrate quality.
Improves Concentrate Grade & Recovery
Enhances selectivity by reducing slime coating and entrainment in sulfide flotation.
Solves Tailings Settling Problems
Promotes rapid settling of fine tailings mud, improving water clarity and recycling efficiency.
Synergistic with Water Glass
When used with sodium silicate (water glass), D497 shows enhanced performance. Recommended ratio:
D497 : Water Glass = 1:1 to 3:1
Form: White solid particles
Dosage: 20-500 g/t
Active Components: Starch, Xanthan gum, Tannic acid
Recommended Solution: 2-5% in water (≥5°C)
Lab Use: Slowly add solid D497 into water while stirring until fully dissolved.
Plant Use: Add to mixing tank with agitator running; stir for 1-2 hours until dissolved.
25 kg / 50 kg bags
Store in shaded, well-ventilated areas
Keep away from strong oxidizers, reducers, or open flame
Avoid impact and excessive dust during transport
Most of the reagent is consumed in concentrate processing
Remaining amount enters tailings; avoid direct water discharge
Use appropriate PPE (gloves, mask, goggles) during handling
D497 is your solution for controlling clay interference, improving flotation performance, and optimizing tailings water management.
