Product Description

Sodium Metabisulfite, a white crystalline powder with a distinctive SO2 odor, is an essential compound widely used in various industries. With a specific gravity of 1.4, it is highly soluble in water and can be dissolved in acidic aqueous solutions. However, when exposed to air for extended periods, it oxidizes to form Sodium Thiosulfate (Na2S2O6), limiting its storage lifespan. At temperatures above 150°C, it decomposes, releasing SO2.
