D421B is a high-performance flotation depressant developed by Y&X Beijing Technology Co., Ltd., designed specifically to address the challenges of gangue interference in complex ore flotation systems.
It is particularly effective in suppressing serpentine and pyrite minerals, improving the selectivity of valuable sulfide mineral recovery and enhancing concentrate quality.
Selective Serpentine Suppression
D421B adsorbs on the surface of serpentine to form a hydrophilic film, preventing its interaction with flotation bubbles and allowing it to be discharged in the tailings.
Gangue Electrostatic Neutralization
The depressant eliminates the negative charge of fine, mudified gangue particles in the slurry, preventing them from adsorbing onto the surface of target metal minerals. This ensures better contact between collectors and valuable minerals.
Pyrite Depression under Low Alkalinity
D421B adsorbs on pyrite surfaces and induces surface oxidation, forming a hydrophilic layer that effectively depresses pyrite flotation under mild pH conditions.
Appearance: Black-brown solid particle powder
Dosage: 50-1000 g/ton of raw ore
Solution Preparation: Dilute to less than 2% concentration
Addition Points: Mixing tank or flotation tank (site-specific); stirring is recommended in the dosing buffer tank to prevent sedimentation of active insoluble particles
Sodium metaphosphate
Humic acid sodium salt
Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose
Improves flotation selectivity and recovery of sulfide minerals
Reduces gangue entrainment and contamination in concentrates
Works efficiently under low alkaline conditions
Compatible with various flotation collectors and processes
Standard Packaging:
25 kg bags
850 kg jumbo bags
Storage Conditions:
Store in a cool, shaded, and well-ventilated area. Keep away from strong oxidizers, reducers, and open flames.
Shelf life: 36 months under proper storage.
Avoid inhalation of dust and direct contact with eyes or skin.
Operators must wear appropriate protective clothing, gloves, and face protection.
The reagent binds with concentrate and degrades during metallurgical processing. Discharge to natural water bodies must be avoided.
D421B is a proven solution for complex flotation systems where serpentine and pyrite pose challenges to recovery and grade.
With its strong selectivity, environmental compatibility, and reliable performance under various conditions, D421B supports improved metallurgical outcomes and process efficiency.
