Product Description

Depressant DS101, as a high efficient depressant for pyrite and pyrrhotite ores, is a green and environmentally friendly solution. 
This procuct is particularly suitable for some types of ores such as copper ore, lead-zinc ore, and copper lead-zinc ore, etc. Under low or non-alkaline conditions, it can effectively inhibit pyrite and pyrrhotite ores, while exhibiting minimal depressant effects on minerals chalcopyrite, galena, and sphalerite, etc. It can completely or partially replace lime.

The mechanism of action for this pyrite depressant involves its reaction with the surface of pyrite upon introduction into the slurry. This reaction leads to the formation of a stable complex, rendering the surface of pyrite hydrophilic and preventing its adsorption with bubbles. Consequently, the treated pyrite is unable to enter the flotation foam layer and instead becomes a foam product, facilitating the separation of pyrite from the desired target minerals.
